Lil Paws Maltese Rescue is excited to be a grant recipient of Barkitecture 2013!  Barkitecture is a nationally-recognized event hosted by Animal Lovers of Austin. The event showcases some of the country's most eclectic and amazing doghouses for auction, and all proceeds help benefit Lil Paws as well as other worthy rescue-related 501c3 groups in and around Austin.

Barkitecture will take place on September 28, 2013 between 12 PM and 4 PM at Triangle Park in central Austin, and will feature local vendor booths, a dog "SPAW" booth featuring dog pedicures from Mud Puppies and massages courtesy of Skillful Paws, a silent auction, and of course, amazing dog houses from local builders and architects. Lil Paws as well as other rescues will have booths there to introduce you to some amazingly cute local rescue pups.

Please come visit us at Barktecture! We can't wait for the event.

100% - and we mean 100% of our contributions go to our dogs' care. This winter we are challenging our amazing donors to donate 10k for the holidays. In each of the past 7 years, our volunteers have wrapped gifts during the Christmas season for customers at Barton Creek Mall; we typically make close to 10k from mall customers who donate to our rescue for this service. It is major annual fundraiser and allows us to take in major medical cases from abused, abandoned and homeless dogs.

Due to unforseen changes in management at the mall we will not have this fund raising opportunity this year, so we are calling on our supporters to help us make up these desperately needed funds. We are hoping for $100 but whatever you can give us SO HELPFUL!

While we know $100 is not within everyone's budget, with just a little creativity and indepedent fundraising of your own you can raise $100 on behalf of LIl Paws Pups in need. Here are some of the methods we might suggest:

  • If you love wrapping, wrap for friends or family. Moms of young children are great candidates- take the work off their hands and give them a "Quiet Santa" with whom to wrap and hide their gifts!
  • Take cookies or treats into your offiice for donations if you can. Prop a note up next to your donations.
  • Donate for a friend or family member's gift for the holidays.

Thank you so much for any donation you can make! Please note in your comments if you would like a Thank You card sent to a friend or family member
