Hello everybody out there in the Human world. This is Tease writing to let you know we appreciate the secret connections you make with us, your canine friends. We need your attention. You may think your lives are busy, but I'm going to give you the inside scoop on my existence -- I have it rough too.

Such a burden being Maltese and having all that envy pointed straight at me! Honestly, it is not my fault that long, flowing pure white hair is the bomb. All the love and affection of my owner is so deserved, and returned in abundance. I am generous with my licks.

I couldn't be happier that spring is just around the corner! My Gucci bomber jacket has kept me warm through this horrible winter, and now it is time to pack it up and get my toes painted for the beach... We Maltese go everywhere with our friends. They say we are excellent companion dogs, and it is true, especially when we are treated to only the very best accommodations. Have you seen my buddies on Liz’s arm? Designer carriers with the softest liners for us -- it is the Maltese way.

Quiet and sophisticated, that's us. As a breed, we Maltese are generally happy, rarely barking except over a little separation anxiety once in a while. We are very loyal and tend to bond strongly with our humans. And who can blame us for that! A girl needs her peeps.

Look into my deep black eyes and tell me you can't live without me. I'll know it's true. Who could resist nuzzling my soft black nose and stroking my long silky coat? Don't fight it. Give in to Maltese Love. I know there is not a lot of me -- only 6 lbs, but that just concentrates the fun! As we go jaunting down the avenue together, everyone will turn and smile. That is why Maltese are such great dogs to be with -- we create smiles and joy in humans, and you can all use more of that.
